M-SDL (Measurable Scenario Description Language) is the first open language that addresses the multiple shortcomings of today’s formats, languages, methods and metrics used to verify and validate ADAS & autonomous vehicle safety.
Foretellix has opened M-SDL to the ADAS & AV ecosystem last September, and has also donated the language concepts to the Association for Standardization of Automation and Measuring Systems (ASAM) standards committee.
Since then, over 500 engineers from 250 different entities have downloaded the M-SDL specification.

The survey was held on January-February 2020, and participants from OEMs, Tier1s, AV developers, and ecosystem companies worldwide took part in it. Participants were asked various questions related to the way they verify their ADAS and autonomous systems.
